Largar Girl’s High School was established as a secondary school and has been officially registered with the Ministry of Education in 2005. It has been upgraded to high school in 2015. Previously, Largar School had no building and the classes are held under tents, trees and open spaces. 558 students are studying currently at school.
Based on the requests of local community and approval of line government departments, Shuhada Organization (SO) with the financial support of Comitato Arghosha Faraway School (CAFS) has facilitated the construction of eight classrooms, four admin rooms, four bathrooms, 88 desks for students and four chairs and desks for teachers, and water supply. The construction work of the school started in early May 2019 and finished at the end of October 2019.
On 20 November 2019, Largar Girl’s High School building officially inaugurated and handed over through cutting the ribbon by the respective guests in Shenya Petab Largar village, Shahristan district of Daikundi province. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of CAFS, provincial governor, deputy governor, district governor, relevant provincial government departments, SO representative, Media and community members.
Mr.Sayed Anwar “Rahmati” Daikundi governor said: “I appreciate SO and CAFS’s efforts regarding successful completion of the school building, and hope that the construction of the first school in Daikundi which was supported by CAFS to be the start of donation of CAFS in Daikundi”.
Mr.Marco “Niada”, Co-founder of CAFS said: “I’m happy that the building of Largar Girl’s High School building constructed with high quality and we are very happy to build this school and somehow solve the challenges of the students to an extent”.
