The Extension Building for Zarin Girl’s High School has completed

 

Zarin Girl’s high school is located in southwest of Nayak, center of Yakawlang district of Bamyan province.

This school is formally registered in Afghan Ministry of Education. Zarin School was established in 1993 as primary school for girls and students till 3rd grade. In 2002 it was promoted to secondary school and has till 9th grade. Due to the need of local community the was again promoted to high school in 2006 and has its first bench of graduation from 12th grade in 2009.

The current school building was built in 2011 by facilitation of SO with financial support of CAFS, which has 8 classrooms, 4 admin rooms and a corridor. In 2011 the school has 407 students and the classrooms are enough for them.

Currently Zarin Girl’s High school has 565 students and 16 personal. The current building of school has not enough classrooms to capacitate these students and some classes are held under tents in school yards.

The aim of the project is to construct 3 extra classrooms and 1 admin room (according to given map of Bamyan Education Department). The new extension building will be made of stone and the roof will be from iron I-beam and wooden plank 3cm thickness. The roof will have iron sheet. The school has enough latrines but needs some repair. The extension work of Zarin Girl’s High school with its repair of latrines will be completed within 3 working months.
